26 Random Acts Of Kindness

It has been a heart wrenching few days since the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT.  I can’t even fathom the grief and sorrow that families are going through at this time. My thoughts and prayers go out to them.

As this story unfolded, I was deeply moved by the stories of heroism from the teachers, administrators, and the First Responders. Their sacrifices and courage inspired me to participate in the 26 Random Acts of Kindness movement.

This movement was originally launched by NBC anchor Ann Curry as a way of honoring the 26 victims of Sandy Hook Elementary School. The goal is to encourage people to perform 26 good deeds in order to make a positive difference in the world. Thanks to Twitter this movement has spread rapidly. It has inspired me to write this blog post in hopes to spread the word to others who might not know about it.

Are you participating in the 26 Random Acts Of Kindness? If so, please share your stories with us.
