MEET, GREET AND WELCOME THE MEMBERS OF

THE MAN VS BOOKS CLUB!

My name is Deidre. I am known as @Yankeefan2975 on twitter. I am the Dreamer also known as the Founder and CEO of the MVBClub. Although I love the Yankees, henceforth the twitter handle, I am an avid book lover. I enjoy being transported to another time and place through the works of various authors.I love authors such as: Jane Austen, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Raymond Chandler, and Agatha Christie to name a few.

Hi, I’m Annie. I am on Twitter as @TheBoudicca.  I am the President and co-creator of the MVBClub. I’ve loved reading since I was a wee girl of two and memorized my favorite book so my parents thought I actually was reading because I knew exactly when to turn the page! I am an avid follower of the Rangers Football Club in Glasgow Scotland and am completing my PhD in the next few weeks. I love Jane Austen, Bernard Cornwell’s Saxon series, anything by Frances Mayes, Anne Easter Smith or Sharon Kay Penman and my guilty pleasures J.D. Robb’s In Death series, Charlotte Hawkins’ Guy of Gisborne series and poetry books. I love reading because I can be somewhere else instantly, experiencing amazing things with amazing people!

I am Jane and i’m @JaneAustenLIVES on Twitter.
I am the co-founder/creator and marketing director for the MVBClub. I am a retired Irish Celtic dancer and now presently learning to flamenco dance. I work in research and development and volunteer in our local library helping children learn to read. From my earliest memories, I’ve had an earnest love for reading. I especially enjoy reading Jane Austen novels and her sequels most ardently. My mother loved Austen so much, I was named after her.

My name is Daniella and I am @ellaherself on Twitter. I am the Executive Secretary and Indonesia Correspondent for the MVBClub. I have a heart for living to show people Jesus’ love for them, books, poems, music, movies, and sometimes more comfortable expressing myself through the written word rather than the spoken one. Writers and readers are hereditary in my family, though I feel I am still the latter. Reading broadens my horizons, takes me places and soothes me, that’s why I love it.

I am Antonia Romera and I am on Twitter as @antonia_romera where I could met many great people like the crew of the blog. I’m the production blog director and Spanish correspondent in the MVBClub who will write and try to help you in all you need as all the blog members. I love languages and I love books. I can’t tell how many favourite books I have: Dracula, Fahrenheit 451, Pride and Prejudice… And many others that are coming. In fact, I’m in love with my new e-reader. Such a wonderful discovery!

My name is Susan and I am @Bromiegirl on Twitter.
I am the co-founder/creator and executive assistant in the MVBClub. I am a Brummie with a horrible weakness for sweets, tea and eating fish n’ chips.  Growing up, my favorite authors were: Beatrix Potter, Lois Duncan, Jane Austen and C.S Lewis. I am a recovering workaholic and escaping in the world of novels calms me. A good book allows me to see the world through the eyes of another. I hope someday to be a writer of young adult books.

I’m Robert and you can find me on twitter as @ManVsBooks. I am the account executive and contributor in the MVBClub. I am an engineer for the environment and enjoy keeping our earth clean and healthy. Totally into sports especially snowboarding and hockey! Winter is the best time of the year! I am constantly reading. I love reading books that open my mind. The more I read, the more I understand people.

My name is Brad and I am @halfpike1 on Twitter. I am the book reviewer and co-contributor in the MVBClub. I am an environmentalist and an avid snowboarder! I live on the slopes and half pipes! I am completely new to reading books and novels. I joined this great group so I can find my inner-readership. I hope to read all kinds of different books and write reviews on how I liked or did not like what I read. I don’t have a love of reading yet but hope to as being apart of this awesome club!

  2. What a great idea for a blog! A lot of men have got out of the habit of reading. My husband prefers if I read to him or listen to it on a DVD! Thanks for coming together to start this site! Abbey
